Jack Leiter Strikes Out Seven Across Five Frames
6 months agoTexas Rangers starting pitching prospect Jack Leiter posted a strong bounce-back performance on Wednesday, where he struck out seven batters across 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball. In his past two outings, he has allowed a combined 10 earned runs and 11 hits in just 4 2/3 innings. Leiter made his major-league debut earlier this season but struggled with a high 16.39 ERA and 2.57 WHIP across three starts. In 40 1/3 innings at Triple-A Round Rock, he holds a 4.24 ERA and 1.29 WHIP. While Leiter has flashed elite strikeout potential at times, he has struggled to show consistency, which has severely hurt his prospect status. Leiter is still worth holding onto in deeper dynasty leagues but should remain on the waiver wire in smaller dynasty/keeper leagues.
