Alex Clemmey Continues To Improve At Single-A
5 months agoCleveland Guardians pitching prospect Alex Clemmey put together another strong outing for Single-A Lynchburg on Wednesday. The left-hander tossed 4 2/3 innings and allowed three hits, zero runs, zero walks and recorded eight strikeouts on the evening. Clemmey was drafted in the second round of the 2023 draft and got off to a rough start in his debut season, but he has thrown to an impressive 1.93 ERA over his last four starts and continues to trend up. MLB Pipeline has Clenney as the Guardians No. 8 prospect and the 18-year-old should be in good hands as the Guardians have been one of the best franchises in terms of developing pitchers over the past decade. As it stands, Clemmey is years away from a potential debut and only a name for dynasty managers to file away for now.
