The running back position had a lot of first-time Pro Bowlers in 2023. Kyren Williams, Raheem Mostert, James Cook, Jahmyr Gibbs, and D'Andre Swift were all selected to their first Pro Bowl.
The only other backs to make the Pro Bowl last season were Christian McCaffrey and Derrick Henry. With the younger running backs taking over the NFL in recent years, look for more running backs to make their first Pro Bowl this upcoming season.
So, let's dive in and look at three running backs who will make their first Pro Bowl in 2024.

Breece Hall, New York Jets
The only reason New York Jets running back Breece Hall has yet to make a Pro Bowl is due to injuries. He tore his ACL back in his rookie year after a strong start to the season. If not for the injury, Hall was on his way to becoming a Pro Bowler in 2022. He totaled 683 yards from scrimmage and five touchdowns through the first seven weeks.

That injury also affected Hall's 2023 campaign, as he was limited right out of the gate. However, now that the 23-year-old is fully past his knee injury, look for the Jets running back to take over in 2024. If he can stay healthy, he should make his first Pro Bowl appearance this season.
Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson was drafted eighth overall in the 2023 NFL Draft, but former head coach Arthur Smith did not use him as he should have. Still, Robinson totaled 272 touches for 1,463 yards and eight touchdowns in his rookie season.

“Get the ball to Bijan as much as you can, in as many ideal situations as you possibly can.”

Nonetheless, with a new head coach in Raheem Morris leading the Falcons, Robinson should be in store for a career year in his second NFL season. He should be featured more in both the running and passing game while having the opportunities to score more touchdowns on the ground. If all goes right, the young running back should make the Pro Bowl in 2024.
Travis Etienne, Jacksonville Jaguars
The last spot on this list was tough, but Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne felt like the best choice. He's coming off a career year in which he totaled 1,484 yards from scrimmage on 325 touches. Etienne also crossed the goal line a career-high 12 times last year.
It was a bit shocking to see Etienne not make the Pro Bowl in 2023, considering his solid numbers. However, that will change this upcoming season for the 25-year-old. He has totaled over 1,400 yards from scrimmage in both of his NFL seasons, and that shouldn't be different in his third year.
Honorable Mentions: Isiah Pacheco, Kenneth Walker III, De'Von Achane
