The National Hockey League playoffs have reached their end with the commencement of the Stanley Cup Finals. Will Edmonton finally break their curse or can Florida finally clinch their first Stanley Cup? During the playoffs, it is much more common to find low-scoring and heavy-hitting games. SCRATCH THAT! This year we have seen plenty of back-and-forth blowouts and teams getting swept! I will do my best to guide you through this showdown slate on DraftKings and FanDuel starting at 8:00 p.m. EDT.

DraftKings and FanDuel Captain - NHL DFS Picks
Carter Verhaeghe - DK $12.6K || FD $12K
Opponent - Edmonton Oilers
Despite his dominant performance, Carter Verhaeghe’s salary remained unchanged heading into Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Verhaeghe produced one goal, three shots, and three blocked shots, en route to a 3-0 win in Game 1. He now has two goals, two assists, 16 shots, and three blocked shots in his last five playoff appearances.

DraftKings and FanDuel Flex Players - NHL DFS Picks
Evan Bouchard - DK $8K || FD $11K
Opponent - Florida Panthers
Excluding teammate Darnell Nurse, Evan Bouchard was the best all-around defenseman for the Oilers in their Game 1 loss. Despite not producing any points, he still had double-digit Shots For Relative Percentage and Scoring Chances For Relative Percentage. The defenseman in Game 1 barely missed the shots bonus on DraftKings with four shots and he did not post any blocked shots. If Edmonton is to have a bounce-back Game 2, Bouchard is going to play a big part.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins - DK $7.8K || FD $10.5K
Opponent - Florida Panthers
The Oilers and more so Ryan Nugent-Hopkins or RNH were robbed a few times in Game 1. Namely, RNH’s breakaway forcing Panthers’ goalie Sergei Bobrovksy to make his second big save of the night. The center/winger hybrid had a promising performance, potentially showcasing what is to come. In a big Game 2, expect the winger to generate one point and three shots.
Sam Bennett - DK $7.4K || FD $10K
Opponent - Edmonton Oilers
Sam Bennett had a mild performance in the Game 1 win with one assist and two shots. Despite the lack of peripherals, the center was much more involved than most believe. Whether it was creating space or grinding out the boards, he was everywhere. After proving that he can handle Edmonton's bottom six, Bennett will look to exploit his matchup even further in Game 2.
Others To Consider (Cash/GPP):
- Hyman (DK $9K || FD $12.5K)
- Rodrigues (DK $5.2K || FD $8K)
