J.D. Martinez Delivers Two RBI On Sunday
6 months agoNew York Mets designated hitter J.D. Martinez was 1-for-5 with two RBI during Sunday's 6-5 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. The 36-year-old tied the game in sixth inning by lacing a two-run single off of Gregory Soto. Martinez has been mildly productive to start off his Mets tenure. The veteran slugger is slashing .271/.323/.444 with five home runs and 18 RBI across 38 games. He may not reach the lofty heights of his 33-homer campaign last season, but Martinez is still a reliable fantasy asset in the majority of formats.
