11 months agoDaniel Hemric did not qualify very well on the Sonoma race course. He begins the 110-lap race from the 34th position on Sunday afternoon. The Kauling Racing Chevy could not sustain speed on the course. That resulted in Hemric losing 1.276 seconds to Joey Logano. Hemric has not raced much on road courses at this level. He finished 37th in the No. 31 car at Austin (COTA). Expecting a lot out of the Chevy is a stretch at best. Hemric just wants to get more laps in on Sunday and that road experience will be vital.
