5 months agoSan Francisco Giants right-hander Camilo Doval tossed a scoreless ninth inning to save a 3-1 win over the Texas Rangers on Saturday. Doval worked around a hit and a walk to keep Texas off the board on the way to earning his 11th save in 13 opportunities in 2024. Overall, it has been an up-and-down season for Doval, who has a 3.91 ERA, 1.58 WHIP, and 31 strikeouts in 25 1/3 innings of work for the Giants. That being said, he has a firm grip on the ninth-inning role in San Francisco and should see the bulk of the save chances for the contending Giants. He should remain in fantasy lineups as a nice source of strikeouts and saves moving forward.--Matt T - RotoBaller
