J.P. Crawford Homers In Mariners Loss To Royals
6 months agoSeattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford went 2-for-4 and hit his fifth homer in Saturday's 8-4 loss at the Kansas City Royals. Crawford opened the game with a blast off Alec Marsh and added an RBI single in the fifth. He enters Sunday hitting .220/.306/.377 with 17 RBI and 24 runs scored. Crawford has homered thrice since coming off the injured list on May 20 after missing time with an oblique injury. The occasional power makes him an interesting waiver-wire option for fantasy managers in deeper leagues needing middle infield help. Beyond that, there is little appeal for Crawford, who mainly helps out in homers and runs scored.
