6 months agoColorado Rockies second baseman Brendan Rodgers will be placed on the 10-day IL, per manager Bud Black, with a hamstring strain. In a corresponding move, the team will recall top prospect Adael Amador from AA. Amador will join the team in St. Louis and is expected to play second base in Rodger's absence. Amador is the team's top prospect and should be expected to receive regular playing time. The young second baseman is only hitting .194 but has seven home runs, 24 RBI, and 22 stolen bases in 170 plate appearances.
