Sam Reinhart, Panthers Keen On Extension
6 months agoFlorida Panthers forward Sam Reinhart is poised to earn an extension from the team this offseason. NHL insider Pierre LeBrun has reported that the two parties have a "strong mutual desire" to work out an extension after the upcoming 2024 Stanley Cup Final. Reinhart is finishing off a three-year, $19.5 million deal and would be the top free agent on the market if Florida doesn't find a way to extend him ahead of July 1. The 28-year-old is set to cash in big after scoring a career-high 57 goals and leading the league in power-play markers. Reinhart, who turns 29 in November, was also close to hitting the 100-point mark for the first time in his career, adding 37 assists across 82 regular-season appearances.
