Jasson Dominguez Pulled From Triple-A Game Early
6 months agoNew York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez was pulled from his Triple-A game before the eighth inning on Thursday night after going 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored. The move may wind up being connected to Juan Soto leaving the Yankees' game against the Twins with left forearm discomfort. (Update: It is now confirmed that Dominguez was lifted as part of their plan for getting his conditioning back on defense and was not connected to the Soto news.) But it is more likely that Dominguez was only slated for seven innings as he gets eased into playing the field again. Dominguez has a .339 batting average and .978 OPS with four home runs through 62 minor-league at-bats, showing little rust from his elbow injury. Dominguez had cracked four homers in just eight MLB games last season before suffering a torn ligament in his throwing elbow. The Yanks didn't have a clear path to playing time for Dominguez in the bigs but if Soto's injury forces him to miss time then Dominguez would be the logical corresponding call-up. The powerful prospect will be an immediate add in all fantasy formats if that comes to fruition.
