Andrew Vaughn Returns Against Cubs
6 months agoChicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn (finger) is back at first base and is hitting second for the team on Tuesday at Wrigley Field against left-hander Shota Imanaga and the Chicago Cubs. A sprained left ring finger caused Vaughn to miss all three games last weekend for the White Sox, but he's healed up now and ready to give it a go after having an extra day off on Monday. The 26-year-old hasn't really been useful to fantasy managers in mixed leagues in 2024, as he's currently hitting just .199/.264/.313 with four home runs, 11 doubles, 19 RBI, one stolen base, 14 runs scored, 15 walks and 53 strikeouts in 220 trips to the plate over 54 games in his fourth major-league season. In a poor White Sox's lineup, there's little to get excited over about Vaughn the way he's been swinging the bat.
