Junior Caminero is a fantasy baseball waiver wire stash for Week 11 (2024). Target Junior Caminero as a top prospect free-agent waiver wire pickup for fantasy baseball.
BALLER MOVE: Stash in Standard Leagues (33% rostered)
CALL-UP ETA: Late 2024
ANALYSIS: Tampa Bay Rays' top prospect Junior Caminero has had some tough injury luck in 2024. Caminero missed about two weeks in April with a left quad strain, and now has injured his quad again. MLB Pipeline's No. 3 overall prospect sustained a Grade 2 left quad strain at the end of May and is set to miss four to six weeks with the injury.
Injuries have pushed back Caminero's promotion to the active roster, as he is now expected to be out until at least July with the Grade 2 quad strain. That is certainly a tough break for a player who was proving his case to be called up by the Rays. He was hitting .261 with eight home runs, six doubles, and 24 RBI in 34 games at Triple-A this season.

With his latest injury, Caminero is now likely a couple of months away from getting promoted to the active roster. Still, he is definitely a stash in 12-plus team leagues, given his upside and potential in Tampa Bay's offense. If the 20-year-old recovers fully from his quad injury, he could find himself in the big leagues late in the season.
