Chase Elliott Is One To Avoid This Weekend
6 months agoChase Elliott will start 17th in this week's race at World Wide Technology Raceway. It is the lowest starting position of his Cup career at the site and the fifth-lowest of the year for the driver of the No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet. In his only start at WWTR in 2022, Elliott placed 21st and lost Place Differential. After 14 races this season, Elliott has one win, seven top-10 finishes, and remains the only driver to place in the Top 20 of all races. During practice, Elliott was one of the slowest drivers and had the worst overall lap average of the entire field. Although he has been one of the most consistent drivers of the year, especially in recent races, Elliott's track history and slow practice speeds make him one to avoid recommending this week for DFS.
