Mike Brown, Kings Agree To Contract Extension
6 months agoAccording to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Kings and head coach Mike Brown agreed on a three-year, $30 million contract extension, keeping him in Sacramento through the 2026-27 season. The 54-year-old took over the team from Alvin Gentry in 2022-23 and immediately turned things around. He finished his first season in Sacramento with a 48-34 record, earning him the Coach of the Year award. The Kings ended last season with a 46-34 record, getting them a spot in the Play-In. Unfortunately, the club fell short of advancing to the first round of the playoffs. Without question, having Brown at the helm should continue to allow Domantas Sabonis and De'Aaron Fox to remain top fantasy contributors in all formats for at least a few more years.
