BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 16% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Braves rookie Spencer Schwellenbach made his MLB debut this week, striking out five Nationals in five innings while allowing three runs on five hits. Atlanta, desperate for pitching help, brought Schwellenbach up from Double-A Mississippi after he logged only 13 innings there this season.
Schwellenbach is a former second-round pick of the Braves who has only 110 innings of experience in the minor leagues. He's pitched exceptionally well in the lower minors, posting a 2.21 ERA through 24 starts with 106 strikeouts and a 0.95 WHIP.

Whether or not the Braves decide to keep him in the rotation remains to be seen, but they do have other options as 29-year lefty Ray Kerr has made two starts recently, and top-ranked prospect AJ Smith-Shawver also made a start for Atlanta last week before being sent back down to Triple-A.
Schwellenbach probably isn't ready for the big leagues just yet and could stand some more seasoning at Double-A and Triple-A, but if he manages to stick in the rotation then he's worth a look in deep leagues. I would temper expectations going forward as he's still very inexperienced and was able to face a bad Washington lineup in his debut.
