Jordan Westburg Helps Orioles Seal Comeback Win Vs. White Sox
6 months agoBaltimore Orioles infielder Jordan Westburg launched a solo home run in the eighth inning to help seal the comeback victory on Saturday against the Chicago White Sox. Trailing 3-0 in the game, the Baltimore bats exploded for a five-run inning capped off by Westburg's solo shot with two outs. While the Orioles were held in check most of the afternoon, Westburg kept the O's offense rolling, going 3-for-4 along with the HR, RBI, and run scored. Westburg was having a rough week at the plate, coming into the game with a .154 average over the last seven days before his Memorial Day Weekend bash. Overall, this year, Westburg has enjoyed a rotisserie-friendly sophomore season and is now up to a .285 batting average with eight homers and 31 RBI in 48 games; the power is a very nice surprise after only three home runs in 68 games in 2023.
