S.H. Kim A Sneaky Option At Colonial
6 months agoFantasy managers should not be sleeping on S.H. Kim at the Charles Schwab Challenge. The 25-year-old South Korean is starting to find a rhythm in his rookie season, having made seven consecutive cuts (excluding the Zurich Classic), with his best result coming as a T4 at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson three starts ago. He also made the cut at the challenging PGA Championship last week, despite uncharacteristically losing strokes in the short game. Prior to that event, Kim had gained in strokes in the short game in 13 consecutive starts, and with a low greens-in-regulation percentage expected at Colonial, that skill set should be a boon for his chances to contend this week. Over the last 24 rounds, he ranks 21st in strokes gained around-the-green, second in scrambling, 25th in Bentgrass putting, and 15th in bogey avoidance. Kim did miss the cut at this event last year, but the risk could certainly be worth the reward for fantasy managers this time around at his $6,700 DraftKings price tag.
