Jake Ferguson Feels Like He's Just Getting Started
Jake Ferguson caught 19 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie in 2022, but he enters the 2024 season as the team's top tight end after catching 71 passes for 761 yards and five touchdowns in 2023. "To me, I think I'm not even scratching my surface," Ferguson said. He has taken part in the Tight End University program led by Greg Olsen, George Kittle and Travis Kelce, and TEs coach Lunda Wells thinks Ferguson can go for 1,000 yards receiving. Ferguson is trying to add a little more bulk to his 252-pound frame this offseason to help him as a blocker. Not only does Ferguson have the skills to continue ascending, but he has great chemistry with quarterback Dak Prescott. There's uncertainty at the No. 3 receiver position behind CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks in Dallas, too, so Ferguson could take another step forward as a TE1 in 2024.

Jake Ferguson Is High-End TE2 Entering Week 18
Jake Ferguson has had a disappointing season thus far, as he has failed to record a single touchdown. The 25-year-old has caught 57 passes for 482 yards and despite CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) missing last week's game, he was not the top option in the passing game. Given the lack of weapons in Dallas' offense this week Ferguson can be started in Week 18 but again has a low floor, especially given that quarterback Trey Lance is expected to see significant snaps.

Jake Ferguson Posts Dud In Blowout Loss
Jake Ferguson was targeted five times in Sunday's 41-7 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles. Ferguson caught three balls for just 18 yards despite star receiver CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) missing the contest. The former Wisconsin tight end also lost a fumble in the game. It has been a disappointing season for Ferguson, who has not scored a touchdown in 2024 after leading the tight end position in red zone targets in 2023. His connection with backup quarterback Cooper Rush just has not been the same as his connection with Dak Prescott (hamstring), who has not played since Week 9. He will look to bounce back in the season's finale next week against the Washington Commanders.

Jake Ferguson Now Top Receiving Option For Dallas
Jake Ferguson is now the top receiving option on the team with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) ruled out for the remainder of the season. Ferguson has yet to score a touchdown in the 2024 season, limiting his ceiling, but should see enough usage to be a safe start at tight end despite a tough matchup on tap against Philadelphia. He grades as a low-end TE1 this week with a safe projected target share in a game that should be low-scoring.

Jake Ferguson Leads Cowboys In Targets On Sunday Night
Jake Ferguson caught six of his nine targets for 40 yards during Sunday's Week 16 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 25-year-old took advantage of his matchup against a Buccaneers defense that has struggled against opposing tight ends in 2024, delivering his best fantasy finish since Week 9. Ferguson may have helped fantasy managers punch a ticket to the fantasy championship this week, but we're less optimistic about his outlook for Week 17 when he faces the Philadelphia Eagles, who have allowed the 11th-fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends this year.
