Jung Hoo Lee's MRI Shows "Structural Damage"
Jung Hoo Lee (shoulder) showed "structural damage" in his left shoulder. Lee will go for a second opinion from Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles on Thursday. The 25-year-old rookie dislocated his shoulder when he crashed into the outfield wall early in Sunday's game and was placed on the injured list on Monday. Now that he's dealing with structural damage in his shoulder with the possibility of needing to go under the knife, fantasy managers may want to prepare for him to miss extended time. Lee has left a lot to be desired over the first month and a half in the big leagues with a .262/.310/.331 slash line with two homers, eight RBI and two steals. Luis Matos has started both games in center field from San Fran since Lee was hurt and figures to see much more playing time moving forward.

Jung Hoo Lee Helps Power San Francisco Past Cubs
Jung Hoo Lee went 3-for-6 with a home run and three RBI in his team's 14-5 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Sunday. His other two hits were singles, and he scored two runs. Lee put the Giants up 4-0 in the top of the third with his fourth dinger of the season, scoring Willy Adames. The second-year pro's third RBI came during a scoring outburst in the top of the eleventh inning when the Giants sealed Chicago away for good with an impressive nine runs. Lee has been excellent for the team in 2025, batting a crisp .312 and doubling his home run production from a season ago (four) in seven fewer at-bats. How high he'll reach in that figure remains to be seen, but he's definitely figured something out regarding his swing, and statcast supports the gains (.315 xBA).

Jung Hoo Lee Sitting Against A Lefty
Jung Hoo Lee is out of the team's starting lineup with a left-hander on the mound on Thursday against the division-rival Colorado Rockies. With Lee getting a day off against a southpaw, Luis Matos will make the start in center field and will hit sixth against Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland. Lee has been outstanding for the Giants through the first month of the 2025 season and is currently in the midst of a modest seven-game hitting streak in which he's gone 9-for-27 with a double, three RBI and three runs scored in 29 plate appearances. Overall, the Japanese outfielder has a strong .319/.375/.526 slash line with a .901 OPS, three homers, 18 RBI, 23 runs, three stolen bases, a league-leading 11 doubles and 11 walks in 30 games. Matos is hitting .158 (6-for-38) with a homer and has hit .333 in just six career at-bats against Freeland.

Wilmer Flores, Jung Hoo Lee Sitting On Thursday
Wilmer Flores and outfielder Jung Hoo Lee will take a seat on Thursday afternoon as the Giants will face Philadelphia southpaw Cristopher Sanchez. Flores has enjoyed an impressive start to the campaign, holding a .242/.286/.515 slash line with 16 total hits and six long balls. He tallied 23 RBI and scored 11 runs. Lee has also been swinging a hot bat as he has slashed a strong .338/.395/.647 line with 10 doubles and three round-trippers across the first 17 contests of the regular season. Fantasy managers should expect both Flores and Lee to likely rejoin the starting nine on Friday evening when they face the Angels. However, the Angels are scheduled to send out lefty Tyler Anderson, which could keep Lee out of the lineup. Instead, Luis Matos will cover center field, and Casey Schmidt will cover first base. The Giants should be faded in DFS facing Sanchez, who enters Thursday with a strong 3.12 ERA.

Jung Hoo Lee Fills Up Stat Sheet Wednesday
Jung Hoo Lee stayed red-hot on Wednesday, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored during the team's 11-4 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. He opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning and added a sacrifice fly in the sixth to extend the Giants' lead. Lee is now batting .338 with a 1.042 OPS, three home runs, and 12 RBIs through 16 games this season. The 26-year-old has seen a meteoric rise in rostership across fantasy platforms, and at this point he should be rostered and started universally.
