After scoring twice in Game 3, Rodrigues turned into a playmaker in Game 4, logging assists as Anton Lundell and Sam Bennett scored. Before sparking into life, Rodrigues was slumping and boasted only two points for this postseason. He's now on three goals and three assists with nine games played in the playoffs.

10 months agoFlorida Panthers forward Evan Rodrigues will join the first line for Thursday's Game 3 against the Oilers. Florida has started the 2024 Stanley Cup Final with two convincing wins, but there's a small tweak in the lineup for Game 3, as Carter Verhaeghe drops down to the second line to switch places with Rodrigues. The 30-year-old has earned himself a promotion following an outstanding start in the series. With two games played, Rodrigues has bagged three goals with three attempts on the net.

Sam Bennett, Evan Rodrigues To Return Saturday
1 year agoFlorida Panthers forwards Sam Bennett and Evan Rodrigues will both be back in the lineup Saturday for a tilt with the rival Tampa Bay Lightning. Both forwards missed time after blocking shots as Rodrigues missed two games while Bennett missed a 4-0 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday. Kyle Okposo and Jonah Gadjovich will both be healthy scratches to make room for Friday's lineup. Bennett has recorded 16 goals and 32 points on the season but has also added 130 hits and 83 penalty minutes alongside a plus-11 rating. Rodrigues has tallied 10 goals and 36 points on 152 shots on goal alongside 76 hits and a tidy plus-24 rating across 65 games this season. The Panthers enter Saturday's action leading the NHL with a 45-18-4 record on the season.

Rodrigues adds a nice bit of creativity to the lineup, as he's fourth on the team with 26 assists. The 30-year-old has also registered 10 goals in 65 games. Florida is looking to beat the Lightning for a third consecutive time this season, with Rodrigues having picked up an assist in each of the first two meetings.

1 year agoFlorida Panthers forwards Sam Bennett and Evan Rodrigues will both miss Thursday's road game versus the Carolina Hurricanes. Head coach Paul Maurice doesn't appear to be worried about either player. "It's day to day," the bench boss said after the morning skate on Thursday. "We will reevaluate them for the Tampa Bay game on Saturday." Bennett, 27, has tallied 16 goals and 32 points in 54 games this season. He has also added 130 hits, 134 shots, 83 penalty minutes, and a plus-12 rating to provide fantasy managers with cross-category production. Rodrigues, 30, has recorded 10 goals and 36 points on 152 shots and 76 hits across 65 games. He has spent time up and down the lineup, including on the top power-play unit at times this season.
