Frederik Andersen Returns To Win Column Saturday
7 months agoCarolina Hurricanes goaltender Frederik Andersen returned to winning ways on Saturday against the Rangers, helping the team stave off elimination in a 4-3 win. Returning to the crease after sitting out Game 3 of the second-round series, Andersen stopped 22 of 25 shots. He gave away a bad goal at the start of the third period, which allowed Alexis Lafreniere to tie the game at three, but Andersen was bailed out by a late Brady Skjei game-winner on the power play. Carolina faces another elimination game on Monday, with Andersen carrying a 5-3 record for the 2024 postseason ahead of the action. He has given up 2.63 goals with a .897 save percentage.
