Although he's never led a lap at Darlington, it is one of Austin Dillon's most consistent tracks, as he has an average finish of 14.3 there, better than any other track the NASCAR Cup Series visits twice. His second-place finish in the 2020 Southern 500 was one of his best-ever drives. However, Dillon has struggled mightily with the Next Gen chassis. Since his best crew chief, Justin Alexander, left in 2023, he has run worse than ever before in his career. Dillon currently has the second-worst speed percentile in the Cup Series at 23.98. Although Alexander returned this season as a mid-season replacement for Keith Rodden, and Dillon promptly got a top-10 finish at Texas almost immediately, he has generally been running no better and qualified only 23rd for this weekend's Goodyear 400. Alexander has elevated Dillon before, so it's conceivable he may do so again, but recent performances suggest that is unlikely.--Sean Wrona - RotoBaller

Richard Childress Racing's Austin Dillon placed 10th at the end of the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Beginning the race from the 17th position, Dillon did not do much during the first stage. He spent the whole stage fighting to maintain a top-20 running position; by the end of it, he was 19th. In the second stage, Dillon did take a contrarian pit strategy by pitting for tires on lap 182, getting him off-sequence with the leaders. However, this would not do much in the context of his overall running position as, by the end of stage two, he placed 18th and failed to score stage points throughout the day. In the final stage, Dillon executed on his pit stops and finally made up ground. The No. 3 Chevrolet driver kept his car clean and then finished in the 10th position by the end of the race. This was Dillon's first top-10 finish at Bristol since 2020 and his first top-10 finish of the 2025 season.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller

Austin Dillon of Richard Childress Racing will start 17th for the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. This will be the best starting position of Dillon's Cup career at the Tennessee short track since 2022. In 19 starts at Bristol, Dillon has 12 top-20 finishes and an average finish of 18.2. The No. 3 Chevrolet driver also scored positive place differential in four of his last five appearances at Bristol. With eight races completed so far this season, Dillon has four top-20 finishes and nabbed positive or neutral PD four times. In practice, Dillon ranked ninth in overall lap averages while displaying top-20 speeds in all other categories. Although he does not offer as much upside as others in the value tier, Dillon is still one of the better overall options to consider as he will compete for a top-15 finish based on equipment and practice speeds.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller

Austin Dillon of Richard Childress Racing will start 23rd for this week's Cup Series race at Darlington Raceway, the Goodyear 400. Dillon's starting position in this race is the same exact one as last year's spring race at the site. In 17 races at Darlington, Dillon has 14 top-20 finishes, including four of the last six Cup events. In seven races completed this season, Dillon has four top-20 finishes and obtained positive Place Differential three times. In practice, Dillon ranked sixth in overall lap averages while displaying top-10 speeds in the five, 10, and 15 consecutive lap average categories. Considering his upside, practice speeds, Darlington history, and salary ($6,300 on DraftKings), Dillon is one of the top value options of the week to utilize in all formats.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller

Richard Childress Racing's Austin Dillon will start 18th for the Cook Out 400 at Martinsville Speedway this week. This will be the first top-20 start for Dillon this season since the second race of the season at Atlanta Motor Speedway. In 22 starts at Martinsville, Dillon has 13 top-20 finishes. He also has three finishes of 12th or better and has earned positive place differential four times since 2022. After six races so far this season, Dillon has three top-20 finishes while obtaining positive PD twice. In practice, Dillon ranked 29th in overall lap averages while failing to rank inside the top 20 on speed in all other categories. Dillon's history has overall been mixed at Martinsville, just like the 2025 season so far. Due to his slow practice speeds, Dillon is not the top recommendation available for DFS lineups around his salary range ($6,500 on DraftKings). Dillon's equipment and more recent positive results, however, should make him playable with small exposure in tournament games.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller
