There will be no shortage of action across baseball on Friday. In addition to a packed schedule, there are no day games to limit the main slates on DraftKings and FanDuel.
This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 5/10/2024, with the slate starting at 7:05 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential.
Good luck, RotoBallers!
DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Ranger Suarez at MIA ($10,300 DraftKings; $11,000 FanDuel)
Suarez has given up just 28 hits over 47 innings this season. Entering this matchup, he has logged at least six innings and given up two or fewer runs in five of his last six outings. The Marlins have the second-worst OPS in baseball and traded away one of their best hitters in Luis Arraez, so don’t expect them to be the team that finally breaks through against Suarez.
Paul Blackburn at SEA ($7,500 DraftKings; $8,700 FanDuel)
Blackburn has made seven starts for the Athletics, logging at least six innings and allowing one or no runs in four of them. Normally, he is a better option to target in DFS when he is starting at his pitcher-friendly home park. Still, a road matchup against the Mariners is not imposing by any means. The Mariners have scored the sixth-fewest runs and struck out the most times in baseball.
Andrew Abbott at SF ($6,700 DraftKings; $8,300 FanDuel)
While Abbott has a 3.32 ERA over his first seven starts, his 4.66 FIP is concerning. His 1.16 WHIP isn’t the problem, but he has already been taken deep seven times over 38 innings. Working in his favor Friday is that the Giants rank inside the bottom-11 in baseball in both home runs and slugging percentage. They also have a paltry .643 OPS at home. Regression could be coming for Abbott, but he’s still worth considering in DFS for this matchup.
Also consider: Tyler Glasnow at SD, Yusei Kikuchi vs. MIN

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Marcus Semien – 2B, TEX vs. Austin Gomber ($5,800 DK; $4,600 FD)
Gomber has a 3.79 ERA over seven starts, but his 5.26 FIP indicates that he hasn’t pitched nearly that well. He’s normally someone to target in DFS, especially at Coors Field. Last year, he had a 7.05 ERA and a 1.59 WHIP at home. Enter Semien, who is 18-for-49 (.367) with a .592 slugging percentage over his last 10 games.
Vinnie Pasquantino – 1B, KC vs. Griffin Canning ($4,100 DK; $2,900 FD)
Pasquantino enters this matchup with three straight multi-hit games. Over his last nine games, he is 13-for-32 (.406) with a home run, six doubles and 12 RBI. Just as impressive is that he had only four strikeouts during that span. For the season, he has more walks (19) than strikeouts (16). Look for him to stay hot when he faces Canning, who has a 6.69 ERA and 5.28 FIP this season.

Orlando Arcia – SS, ATL vs. Jose Quintana ($3,600 DK; $2,800 FD)
Arica is a contact hitter, producing just a 14.9 percent strikeout rate this season. Last year, he finished with a .424 wOBA and a .302 ISO versus left-handed pitchers. With his cheap salary, he could provide value against Quintana, who has a 1.54 WHIP through seven starts. Quintana is also not an overpowering presence on the mound, as he is on pace to produce a strikeout rate of 20.2 percent or lower for the third straight season.
Also consider: Mookie Betts, Alec Bohm, Bobby Witt Jr.
DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks
Tyler O'Neill - OF, BOS vs. Patrick Corbin ($6,100 DK; $3,300 FD)
Corbin is barely missing any bats, leaving him with a 14.4 percent strikeout rate. His WHIP is a bloated 1.81 and has contributed to him giving up at least four runs in five of his seven starts. The Red Sox should be a popular team to stack and O’Neill is a prime option to build such a stack around. For his career, he has a .220 ISO and a .365 wOBA against left-handed pitchers.
Adolis Garcia – OF, TEX vs. Austin Gomber ($6,000 DK; $4,300 FD)
Going back to the Rangers’ matchup with Gomber, Garcia is another member of their lineup to consider. He continues to bring plenty of power to the plate, recording a .225 ISO through 38 games. Gomber gave up 1.7 HR/9 last season and has been taken deep seven times over 38 innings this year.
Leody Taveras – OF, TEX vs. Austin Gomber ($3,600 DK; $3,100 FD)
Finding potential value options for games being played at Coors Field can be difficult. The hitting conditions are so favorable that both sites tend to inflate the salaries for hitters who are going to play there. Taveras has a cheap salary and is 15-for-42 (.357) with two home runs and three doubles over his last 12 games. He could be well worth the risk in tournament play.
