Will Zalatoris Back In Action At Quail Hollow
7 months agoWill Zalatoris disappointed the golf world as a local favorite last week when he withdrew from the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, citing the need for rest and recovery after a flare-up in his surgically repaired lower back. While that may give fantasy managers some pause when deciding to roster him this week, the young PGA Tour star is opting to tee it up at Quail Hollow just one week before the PGA Championship. Take that information for what you will. If healthy, Zalatoris should have a solid chance of contending at the Wells Fargo Championship. He's notorious for elevating his game on difficult courses and with major-caliber fields, and he's flashed solid form with three top-10 finishes in just 10 events in the 2024 calendar year. Zalatoris is undoubtedly one of the best approach players in the world and will generate plenty of scoring opportunities, but his ability to convert with his putter will be the biggest question mark entering the week. A world-class golfer with a $7,900 DraftKings salary at a no-cut event will likely be too difficult for most fantasy managers to pass up.
