Luis Garcia Jr. Dealing With Wrist Injury
7 months agoWashington Nationals second baseman Luis Garcia Jr. (wrist) jammed his wrist while sliding into second base in the sixth inning on Sunday against the Toronto Blue Jays, which is why Ildemaro Vargas pinch hit for him in the eighth inning. Garcia didn't seem to think it was a significant injury when he was asked about it after the game. The Nationals had the day off on Monday, but it remains to be seen if Garcia will be in the lineup for the series opener on Tuesday versus the Baltimore Orioles. Fantasy baseball managers will want to get Garcia back into their lineups if he's active, as the 23-year-old infielder has been awesome to begin the 2024 campaign, hitting .337/.381/.510 with three home runs and six steals so far through 105 plate appearances.
