Lazaro Montes Hits Grand Slam For Sixth Home Run
7 months agoSeattle Mariners outfield prospect Lazaro Montes went 3-for-5 with two singles and a grand slam in the second game of a doubleheader for Single-A Modesto on Sunday. The home run was the 19-year-old's sixth of the season and fifth in his last eight games. The left-handed hitter also now has six multi-hit games in his last eight, and his season RBI total stands at 36. Now slashing .313/.415/.566 on the season, Montes is making a push for a spot in the MLB Top 100 rankings and a promotion to Double-A before the year is out. Dynasty managers should know his name by now, although he likely does not see the majors until sometime in 2025 or 2026.
