Should fantasy managers pick up Connor Wong on the waiver wire in fantasy baseball for Week 7? Joey Pollizze explains if Connor Wong is a waiver wire add.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 29% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Boston Red Sox catcher Connor Wong has been one of the most surprising players at the plate this season. Wong is currently hitting .346 with five HRs, 14 RBI, and three doubles in 23 games. This comes after a year in which the 27-year-old ended with a .235 average, nine HRs, and 36 RBI.

As a result, it remains to be seen if Wong's numbers to start the year are legit, so now might be the perfect time to add him to your fantasy leagues. However, there are a couple of downsides to adding the catcher heading into Week 7.
For starters, he has sat out two of the past three games and three of the last six contests for the Red Sox. Sitting that frequently is not a great sign for Wong's fantasy value. Boston also only has five games on the schedule in Week 7. Those two things are likely why fantasy managers should pivot away from him this upcoming week. Still, he's a solid option in 14-plus team leagues.
