7 months agoCleveland Guardians first base prospect Kyle Manzardo is expected to be called up by the team on Monday with outfielder Steven Kwan (hamstring) heading to the 10-day injured list. Manzardo, the team's No. 2 prospect according to MLB Pipeline, is slashing .303/.376/.642 at Triple-A Columbus this season with nine home runs, 20 RBI and 25 runs scored. It remains to be seem exactly how Manzardo will fit into the Guardians lineup, but he will likely see most of his reps at the designated hitter spot.
