Daniel Suarez Will Start 27th In Sunday's AdventHealth 400 At Kansas Speedway
7 months agoTrackhouse Racing superstar Daniel Suarez has qualified 27th for the AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. Suarez's disappointing qualifying efforts came as no surprise, as the 32-year-old also struggled to find speed during Saturday's practice session. Despite being on the track for 30 laps, which was tied for the fourth most of the day, he was only able to produce the 19th fastest time (30.333). While it would be easy to dismiss these results and chalk it up to having a bad day, his history at this track is just as underwhelming as his Saturday was. In 14 starts at Kansas, the Monterrey, Mexico native has as many top-10s as he does DNFs (two) and is averaging 20.4 for his overall finish. Likewise, in his four starts in the Next Gen Car in The Sunflower State, he is averaging just 24.20 DraftKings points and a -4 in place differential. Given that his $7,200 DraftKings salary places him in the same range as more appealing targets like Ricky Stenhouse Jr. ($6,600), Austin Dillon ($6,500), and John Hunter Nemechek ($6,000), it is hard to justify treating the No. 99 as anything more than just a dart throw in DFS this weekend.
