Welcome back RotoBallers to my top 100 fantasy baseball prospect rankings, freshly updated for May 2024. For those who are not familiar, I will be releasing monthly updates to my fantasy baseball dynasty prospect rankings here on RotoBaller along with my notes on risers and fallers.
Both the minor leagues and the MLB are well underway now, and it is a full go for the 2024 fantasy baseball season! After a full offseason of work, spending time on backfields, in minor league camps, watching video, and diving in on advanced data, I have made several refinements to my fantasy baseball prospects rankings. These rankings are helpful when evaluating players both for redraft and dynasty leagues and can help give you an edge in any format.
This specific set of prospect rankings can be used for any fantasy format, with the focus being on a player's potential for fantasy leagues long term. We hope that at RotoBaller we can help make you a champion in both dynasty and redraft formats. Top 100 Dynasty Fantasy Baseball Prospects
Top Fantasy Baseball Prospect Risers
Paul Skenes and Jared Jones both moved up on the list, largely because I do not rank pitching prospects overly high due to the volatility of the position. But with Jones dominating at the Major League level and Paul Skenes looking like an ace in the making who should debut in Pittsburgh soon, they made deserved jumps.

Carson Williams has long been a prospect I have loved due to his power and speed upside, but there were some contact concerns, especially against breaking balls. Williams has made notable improvements this year against all pitch types and the results are showing. He could be a consistent 20/20 threat.
Lazaro Montes is another hitter with incredible tools, an impressive build and some of the best power in the minors. Contact was a major question mark though, but so far, the improvements have been notable. If the gains stick, he has a very bright future as a power hitter.

Orelvis Martinez continues to dominate the Triple-A level as a hitter who is more than ready for the Majors on the hitting side. The long-time power hitter has steadily made improvements with his contact.

Top Fantasy Baseball Prospect Fallers
Dylan Crews took a small hit, falling from No. 5 to No. 10 overall. There is still immense talent, but the contact skills don't look like they did at LSU. I still think he puts it all together, which is why I left him in the top 10.
Colt Keith dropped 10 spots with his much-expected MLB struggles. The reality is that most young players struggle initially in their MLB debuts. Keith will be fine long term, but the perceived value takes a hit.
Adael Amador has some of the best contact skills in baseball. His fatal flaw is that he hits the ball on the ground way too much. I have come around to the idea that very few hitters can change their launch angles, and that is my fear with Amador.
I have seen Termarr Johnson live in three different series at this point, and sadly, it is often much of the same. He struggles immensely with whiffing against breaking pitches. In fact, there were plenty of at-bats last week where he got three straight breaking balls and swung and missed at all three.
