Taylor Pendrith A Volatile Option For CJ Cup
7 months agoTaylor Pendrith has developed a reputation for being one of the most volatile options in the game of golf. A top-10 finish or a disastrous missed cut are entirely in the 32-year-old Canadian's range of outcomes on any given week, and fantasy managers need to look no further than the 2024 calendar year for an example. Including the Zurich Classic, Pendrith has played in 11 events, tallying six missed cuts and four finishes inside of the top 11. From a statistical perspective, Pendrith appears to be another coin flip at TPC Craig Ranch. He ranks 13th in strokes gained on easy courses, and over the last 24 rounds he ranks seventh in driving distance and 12th in birdie-or-better-percentage, both categories that are in the recipe for success at this course. But he also ranks outside of the top 100 golfers in strokes gained from tee-to-green, overall approach, scoring on par three holes over 200 yards, and opportunities gained. Fantasy managers may want to take the risk on Pendrith if he projects for low ownership this week, but limited exposure may be the best route to take regardless in this year's rendition of the CJ Cup.
