After a true breakout campaign in 2023, DJ Moore looked like a superstar wide receiver heading into 2024. The Bears got busy during this offseason by adding Keenan Allen and drafting Rome Odunze to ensure Caleb Williams is as well-equipped as possible.
Each player possesses a different skill set with Allen working as a safety valve, Moore acting as a big-play threat, and Odunze slotting in somewhere in between as a big target.
All three players would be the No. 1 wide receiver on almost any other team in the NFL, but let's explore who is the No. 1 in Chicago.

Who is the Chicago Bears' WR1?
DJ Moore projects to be the No. 1 read in this offense given his talent exceeding that of Keenan Allen and his experience over Odunze. However, Allen ultimately may garner the most targets in Chicago's offense in 2024.

Allen thrives in the short to midrange portion of the field, making him a quarterback's best friend. Although Caleb Williams is supremely talented, he is still a rookie. There is no way to know how well and quickly he will adjust to the NFL. Odds are that Williams will experience growing pains and Allen could alleviate those growing pains.
Who Should I Draft in Fantasy Football?
In fantasy football redraft, it is difficult to get excited about any of these players in 2024. There are not enough targets to go around. Williams is well positioned to succeed with these weapons, but history has not been kind to pass-catchers of rookie quarterbacks in fantasy.
Allen is likely the safest bet in PPR formats. Moore should have a few boom games, which is great for best ball, but he could easily lack consistency. Even in 2023 when Moore accumulated 96 receptions for 1,364 yards and eight touchdowns, he finished outside the top-25 wide receivers on nine occasions.
Rome Odunze is an elite prospect and could have his moments in this offense. Given the many mouths to feed, Odunze may have a rookie season more akin to Jaxon Smith-Njigba than Justin Jefferson. However, Odunze's dynasty outlook is exceptional.
Watching Rome Odunze highlights hits different, man. No more wishing a guy like that gets drafted by the Bears.

The Bears' pass-catching corps also includes D'Andre Swift out of the backfield, and Cole Kmet and Gerald Everett at tight end. This team is loaded on offense but will likely frustrate fantasy managers, especially with a rookie quarterback in town.
