7 months agoColorado Rockies shortstop/outfield prospect Sterlin Thompson went 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI and a solo home run. Thompson is now hitting .245 with seven RBI and a stolen base over his first 73 at-bats. Thompson, 22, is a consensus Top-100 prospect and joins Yanquiel Fernandez, Jordan Beck and Zac Veen in what is a potentially strong outfield for the Rockies. Thompson swings from the left side with good pitch recognition and uses the whole field to make contact. He won't be the biggest power hitter, but playing half his games at Coors Field will help with that. Thompson has been playing outfield of late, but can also play the middle of the field. He is unlikely to make an impact in 2024, but he is worth a look for dynasty managers.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
