The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at Dover Motor Speedway on Saturday morning in preparation for the upcoming Würth 400 on Sunday afternoon.
The 37-car field was split into two groups for this practice session. Below you'll find the two practice groups, key notes from the practice session and the practice speeds for all drivers.
Track conditions for practice were quite a bit different for practice than they will be during the race on Sunday. Tire wear was much more significant during this practice than teams expect it to be during the actual race.

Important Practice Notes
William Byron - Byron's No. 24 Chevrolet was the fastest car in the first group of practice, and also ended up being fastest in 10- and 15-lap averages overall, but his Hendrick Motorsports team decided to not go out for a second run of practice and stay in the garage due to concern about the tires cording on their Chevrolet. In between the two practice groups, Byron was interviewed by FS1 and he did say that he hopes that tire wear won't be as much of an issue with the higher temperatures on Sunday.

Zane Smith - Zane Smith backed his No. 71 Chevrolet in the wall during practice and will likely have to go to a backup car for the race on Sunday. Zane noted that a tire went flat and that is what caused the issue.
Kaz Grala - At the end of practice, Kaz Grala got loose coming out of turn four and over-corrected, sending his No. 15 Ford directly into the wall. He destroyed the car and will have to utilize a backup car for the race on Sunday.
Corey Heim - After a vicious wreck at Talladega last weekend, it was found that Erik Jones has a fractured vertebrae and won't be able to race for a while. Core Heim will be in the No. 43 Toyota this weekend at Dover, making his first-ever Cup Series start.
