Josue De Paula Off To A Cold Start
Josue De Paula went 0-for-4 on Tuesday for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, bringing his season average down to .176. While he started the season with a six-game hit streak, none were multi-hit efforts and he's yet to hit his first home run of the 2024 campaign. De Paula had a solid 2023 in which he finished with a .284 average, stole 14 bases, and had a strong 13.5% BB%, but it hasn't carried over to 2024 thus far. At just 18 years old, he's the Dodgers' fourth-ranked prospect and 95th overall per MLB.com. The lefty has had some lofty comparisons so hopefully he can get going. For dynasty purposes, if he lives up to his comps then managers are sitting on a gold mine, although it will be some time till we see him in L.A.

Josue De Paula Collects Two Hits, Swipes A Pair Of Bases At High-A
Josue De Paula went 2-for-4 with two singles and a pair of stolen bases on Tuesday for High-A Great Lakes. With Roki Sasaki's graduation from the prospect ranks, the left-handed slugger moved up to the second-ranked prospect in the Dodgers' farm system and rose slightly on MLB.com's latest refresh of their top prospects list, going from No. 35 to No. 33 overall. With an advanced contact and power profile to go along with a keen eye and ability to steal bases, the 6-foot-3 slugger looks like a future multi-category contributor and should make a run at a major-league debut next season.

Josue De Paula Off To A Strong Start At High-A
Josue De Paula is off to a great start at High-A Great Lakes, now hitting .288 after a 2-for-4 day at the plate on Thursday. For the season, the left-handed slugger owns a fantastic .912 OPS thanks to seven doubles, a triple, and four home runs, along with a 23:19 BB:K. The Dodgers' second-ranked prospect (MLB No. 35) has also tallied five steals in 28 games. Not too shabby for a 19-year-old, who appears to be well on his way to a promotion to Double-A in the near future. The 6-foot-3 slugger has always displayed a keen eye at the plate, he stole 27 bags in 2024, and has 60-grade hit and power tools according to MLB.com, giving fantasy managers plenty to be excited about. Dynasty managers need to keep a close eye on him, if not already stashing the youngster, as he could reach the majors as early as next season with the opportunity to hit in a potent Dodger lineup.

In 55 games with Single-A Rancho, De Paula held a .279/.388/.447 slash line with 11 doubles, six home runs, and 14 stolen bases.
