8 months agoMinnesota Twins outfield prospect Walker Jenkins (hamstring) has been placed on the seven-day injured list with a left-hamstring strain. The news comes after the 2023 first-round pick left Fort Myers' Single-A opening game after making a catch at the wall. Jenkins, 19, is still waiting on a timeframe for when he could resume playing. Last year's fifth overall pick recently recovered from a quad injury, so its tough news for both him and the Twins' organization. Jenkins makes plenty of contact, and his power should continue to come as he progresses through the ranks.
