8 months agoArizona Diamondbacks left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez (lat) has started throwing bullpen sessions. He was removed from his Cactus League start on May 19 against the Chicago Cubs with left-lat tightness and was diagnosed with a strain after undergoing an MRI exam the following day. Even though E-Rod has made encouraging progress so far, the 31-year-old veteran southpaw is going to eventually need to go on a minor-league rehab assignment before the D-backs activate him from the injured list for his team debut. Rodriguez will have a starting rotation spot waiting for him when he's ready to go, although he's a prime candidate for regression in fantasy leagues after posting career-bests in ERA and WHIP in 2023 in his final year with the Detroit Tigers.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
