Shane Lowry In Top Form Heading To Augusta
8 months agoShane Lowry is enjoying an excellent stretch of golf ahead of his ninth Masters appearance. The 37-year-old Irishman has made the cut in his last five PGA Tour starts, including two top-five finishes at the Cognizant Classic and Arnold Palmer Invitational in March. He's also gained over six strokes ball-striking in each of his last three starts while climbing up to number 36 in the Official World Golf Rankings. Lowry also sets up as a solid course fit based on data over the last 24 rounds, as he enters the week ranking fourth in good drive percentage, second in weighted approach play, seventh in opportunities gained, and fifth in par 5 scoring, the latter of which has been paramount to success at The Masters. The win equity is there as well, as he's won four events on the European Tour and two on the PGA Tour, including his lone Major victory at the 2019 Open Championship. While it may be a long-shot to see Lowry sporting the Green Jacket on Sunday, fantasy managers could reasonably expect him to post his fifth-straight top-25 victory at Augusta National with additional upside.
