Josh Jung Placed On 60-Day Injured List
8 months agoThe Texas Rangers officially moved third baseman Josh Jung (wrist) to the 60-day injured list on Monday with a right-wrist fracture. The club also placed infielder Justin Foscue (oblique) on the 10-day injured list and selected the contract of infielder Davis Wendzel from Triple-A Round Rock. The oft-injured Jung is one of the rising young third basemen in the game, but the 26-year-old hasn't been able to stay healthy early in his career and is expected to miss eight to 10 weeks due to a broken right wrist. Despite the lengthy layoff, fantasy managers should keep Jung stashed in an IL spot in all leagues until he's able to return. In the meantime, Josh Smith and Ezequiel Duran will likely continue splitting playing time at the hot corner for the defending World Series champions.
