Chase Briscoe Has Great Run At Martinsville
8 months agoChase Briscoe had easily his best run of the season at Martinsville on Sunday en route to a 10th-place finish. Teammate Ryan Preece passed him at the end because he took tires on the final caution, and Briscoe did not. However, Briscoe ranked sixth in speed, had an average running position of eighth, and easily had his best driver rating of the season. The Stewart-Haas cars have performed well on short tracks, and that has not changed in 2024, even with the introduction of the new Ford Dark Horse chassis. Although Briscoe's 2024 is on pace to be much better than his 2023 was, it remains to be seen whether SHR will have speed on the tracks where they recently struggled.
