8 months agoSeattle Mariners middle infield prospect Colt Emerson went 2-for-4 with a walk and solo home run for Single-A Modesto on Sunday. The club's 2023, first-round pick, Emerson has now homered twice in just three games. The 18-year-old has made a big impression since being selected 22nd overall this past season. In just 24 games between Rookie Ball and Single-A, Emerson hit an astounding .374 with two homers, 10 doubles and 13 RBI. He also swiped eight bags in the process. The youngster has good contact skills and if his power continues to grow, the Mariners may have a star on their hands. For now, only dynasty league managers should be considering Emerson as he is likely a few seasons away from contributing at the big-league level.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
