Christopher Bell Is A Top-10 Recommendation For Martinsville
8 months agoDuring qualifying for this week's Cook Out 500 at Martinsville Speedway, Christopher Bell scored a starting position of 20th. The Cook Out 500 will be the third race of the 2024 season in which Bell will start 20th or worse. This should not be a problem for Bell to overcome, as in eight starts at Martinsville, he has seven top-20 finishes, including three inside the Top 10, and a win from October 2022. Through seven races so far this season, Bell is one of the most consistent drivers of the year with five top-10 finishes, including each of the last four Cup events. The driver of the No. 20 Toyota also won at Phoenix earlier in the year, which uses the same rules package as Martinsville this week. In practice, Bell's practice speeds were among the Top 10 fastest in almost every category, peaking with his 20 and 25 consecutive lap averages, ranking seventh of all drivers. Although he only has one top-10 finish in his career at Martinsville races during the Spring, Bell's speeds through pre-race events and overall consistency this season make him one to recommend in DFS this week for a top-10 finish.
