Erik Swanson Slated To Throw In Minor League Game
8 months agoToronto Blue Jays reliever Erik Swanson (forearm) is slated to throw one inning for Single-A Dunedin on Sunday. The Blue Jays will assess Swanson's next steps after his outing. The 30-year-old is eligible to come off the injured list on Tuesday, but he may need another outing before being activated. Swanson injured himself in spring training and hasn't been active for any of Toronto's games so far. His return will be welcomed by the Blue Jays as an essential piece to their bullpen, putting up a 2.97 ERA in his 2023 season. Fantasy managers in leagues that reward for the category saves and holds should continue to stash Swanson on their rosters.
