EPL DFS Goalies

Arijanet Muric - DK $3.9K || FD $9

Opponent - Everton

Burnley goalies are making a return to the article after they had a big performance last weekend. In a 2-2 draw with Chelsea, Arijanet Muric made 11 saves and conceded two goals en route to posting a double-digit fantasy points score on both DraftKings and FanDuel. In his three domestic appearances, he has 17 saves and four goals against. Luckily for Muric, Everton is in the top ten in Shots For Per 90, but the bottom three in Goals For Per 90. This sets up Muric for a potential ceiling game.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Dubravka (DK $4.5K || FD $10), Kaminski (DK $4.2K || FD $9)

EPL DFS Forwards

Dwight McNeil - DK $8.3K || FD $19

Opponent - Burnley FC

With Jack Harrison out, Dwight McNeil is set to control all set pieces once again for the Toffees. In his last match when Harrison didn’t start, McNeil produced one shot, two created chances, seven crosses, three corners, one tackle and one clearance. That was in a 1-1 draw at Newcastle United. Now McNeil gets a crack at the Clarets at Goodison Park. In Per 90 stats against, Burnley is in the bottom five in Shtos Against, Chances Created Against and Big Chances Created Against. They are also the eighth-worst in Crosses Against and the second-worst in Goals Against. This sets up McNeil for a potential ceiling game. In the winger’s last five domestic matches, he has 12 shots, 14 created chances, 39 crosses, 13 corners, 3 tackles, three interceptions and two clearances.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Isak (DK $9.8K || FD $22), Bruun Larsen (DK $7.2K || FD $17)

EPL DFS Midfielders

Lewis Hall - DK $3.9K || FD $10

Opponent - Fulham FC

This article tends to stray away from midfielders playing in a defender position.. i.e. Pascal Groß, however, Lewis Hall may be the biggest ‘lock’ of the season. With Kieran Trippier out due to injury and Jacob Murphy not expected to start, Hall could be in line for the majority if not all set pieces for Newcastle, barring a few here and there getting poached by Anthony Gordon and or Harvey Barnes. In his most recent five domestic appearances – one start, he has one created chance, six crosses, two corners, six tackles and two interceptions. He will fare better on FanDuel’s platform which will score his defensive actions well. Nevertheless, for under four thousand dollars on DraftKings with a solidified floor and a sky-high ceiling, he is a MUST, especially in ‘CASH’ contests.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Sarabia (DK $9.4K || FD $18), Tavernier (DK $6.3K || FD $17)

EPL DFS Defenders

Ashley Young - DK $5K || FD $14

Opponent - Burnley FC

Ashley Young is the next man up with no Kieran Trippier for Newcastle United. The offensive-minded fullback/midfielder is expected to slot in for Jack Harrison at right-wing once again. In his rare start last match, he had two shots, two crosses, one tackle, two interceptions and two clearances. Now, he gets to line up on the wing at Goodwin Park against one of the worst defenses in the top flight. Burnley has escaped the bottom two in all meaningful metrics in Per 90 stats, however, they are still a bottom-five club. The one thing they have going for them is that Everton is one of the worst chance-converting clubs in the top flight. Nevertheless, there is always the off chance that Everton can produce a big game and selecting a defender in an attacking position is always viable.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Digne (DK $5.1K || FD $12), Emerson (DK $3.9K || FD $13)

Corner Takers

  • Aston Villa: Luiz/McGinn
  • Brentford FC: Jensen/Janet/Mbeumo
  • Everton: McNeil
  • Burnley FC: Bruun Larsen
  • Fulham FC: Pereira
  • Newcastle United: Hall
  • Luton Town FC: Doughty
  • AFC Bournemouth: Cook/Tavernier
  • Wolverhampton: Sarabia
  • West Ham United: Bowen/Ward-Prowse

Thanks for reading The Kick-Off. Good luck in all of your contests today!
