The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday afternoon in preparation for the upcoming Cook Out 400 on Sunday.
The 37-car field was split into two groups for this practice session. Below you'll find the two practice groups, key notes from the practice session and the practice speeds for all drivers.
The track was significantly faster for Group A than it was for Group B. To get a true idea of who is fast this weekend, you essentially have to compare the two groups separately as opposed to the entire field--just like last weekend at Richmond.

Important Practice Notes
Denny Hamlin - The Fox Sports announcers noted that Denny Hamlin's No. 11 Toyota is very good on the long run. We only get 30-lap averages posted but it was noted that Hamlin was clearly the fastest on the long-run over 30 laps.
Josh Berry - The roof hatch on Josh Berry's No. 4 Ford came open during practice. He came down put road and the team immediately got it back down. Obviously we can't predict if this is going to happen again, but that happening during the race on Sunday could ruin his weekend.
The roof hatch on Josh Berry's car had popped open while turning laps. He came in, and they were about to get it latched back down seemingly with no damage sustained. #NASCAR

Ty Gibbs - During practice, Ty Gibbs came on the radio with his team and said he had an issue and it felt like something was dragging on the No. 54 Toyota. He also noted it could be something with the left front tire. The team said they were going to investigate what could be going on.
