Facing his home state team, Chychrun scored a power-play goal, which ended up as the game-winning marker, and set up Lars Eller for a pair of goals. With his sixth tally of the campaign, Chychrun tied Colorado's Cale Makar for most goals among defensemen. Chychrun has also posted five assists in 16 games during his debut campaign in Washington, firing off 31 shots and blocking 24 efforts from the opposition.

Chychrun has missed the last four games due to an upper-body injury suffered on October 29, but he is progressing and should return soon. The Caps play the St. Louis Blues on Saturday, and there is a chance Chychrun returns for that game. When he returns, expect him to play top-four minutes with some time on both the powerplay and penalty kill. He should provide some scoring and decent peripherals for fantasy, making him a solid lower-end defenseman in standard leagues.
