Geraldo Perdomo Injured On Wednesday
8 months agoArizona Diamondbacks shortstop Geraldo Perdomo (knee) left Wednesday's extra-inning loss to the New York Yankees in the 10th inning and was walking with a slight limp. He started hobbling halfway to second base and stood on the bag hunched over for a while before leaving the game. The Arizona Republic's Theo Mackie suggests it could have been Perdomo's knee, which he had a minor issue with during spring training. Before leaving, Perdomo went 0-for-4 with an RBI and two strikeouts in the 6-5 loss. If the 24-year-old is forced to miss any time because of the injury, expect Blaze Alexander to see most of the playing time at shortstop for Arizona. Until we know more on Perdomo's injury, fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day. The D-backs are off on Thursday before heading to Atlanta to face the Braves on Friday. UPDATE: Perdomo is officially listed as day-to-day with right-knee discomfort.
