Josh Jung Officially Placed On Injured List
8 months agoThe Texas Rangers officially placed third baseman Josh Jung (wrist) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday and recalled infield prospect Justin Foscue from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move. Jung was hit by a pitch on Monday against the Tampa Bay Rays and is now likely to miss extended time. The 26-year-old needs to be stashed in an IL spot in all fantasy leagues until he's able to return. When he have a more concrete timetable for how long Jung is expected to be out, we'll pass it along. Foscue, the 14th overall pick in 2020 out of Mississippi State will be making his MLB debut when he gets into a game, and he should see plenty of at-bats between third and first base with both Jung and Nathaniel Lowe (oblique) sidelined. Foscue can also play second base and gives Texas plenty of defensive versatility. He's at least worth a pickup in AL-only leagues.
