Coby Mayo Off To Hot Start
8 months agoBaltimore Orioles third base prospect Coby Mayo has been off to a hot start for Triple-A Norfolk. The 6'5" slugger hit his first homer on Sunday and is 5-for-14 with three RBI in his first week of play. Mayo, 22, is one of the many big-name prospects for the Orioles and like his fellow Triple-A teammates, Jackson Holliday, and Heston Kjerstad, he is blocked at the big-league level. Mayo got some action at first base this spring and that could help accelerate his ascension to the big leagues, but he may also need a trade to get playing time in the show. Regardless, Mayo offers plenty of pop to his game and is a better option in dynasty leagues than redraft at the moment. Should he be promoted or dealt, he would be worth giving a chance to in redraft leagues.
